Scope of Environmental Education

Environmental education has a wide scope as it is one of the most important areas of study. People need to understand their duties and responsibilities towards the environment.

The scope of environmental education can be explained with the help of the points given below.

• Biological Aspect

The most important aspects of environmental education are biological aspects. The best example is human beings. Other examples of biological aspects include animals, birds, insects, microorganisms, and plants.

• Physical Aspect

The physical aspect of environmental education is further divided into natural and man-made aspects. Physical aspects include air, water, land, climate, etc. On the other hand, man-made aspects include roads, highways, airports, railroads, buildings, bridges, dams, and reservoirs, etc., which humans make.

• Socio-cultural Aspect

These are the practices, cultures, and traditions which humans make to live in a society. It can include rules, laws, religious beliefs, etc. Human beings, with their efforts, have created these.

சுற்றுச்சூழல் கல்வி என்பது ஒரு பரந்த நோக்கத்தைக் கொண்டுள்ளது, ஏனெனில் இது மிக முக்கியமான ஆய்வுப் பகுதிகளில் ஒன்றாகும். சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கான தங்கள் கடமைகள் மற்றும் பொறுப்புகளை மக்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

• உயிரியல் அம்சம்

சுற்றுச்சூழல் கல்வியின் மிக முக்கியமான அம்சங்கள் உயிரியல் அம்சங்கள். சிறந்த உதாரணம் மனிதர்கள். உயிரியல் அம்சங்களின் பிற எடுத்துக்காட்டுகளில் விலங்குகள், பறவைகள், பூச்சிகள், நுண்ணுயிரிகள் மற்றும் தாவரங்கள் ஆகியவை அடங்கும்.

• உடல் அம்சம்

சுற்றுச்சூழல் கல்வியின் உடல் அம்சம் மேலும் இயற்கை மற்றும் மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட அம்சங்களாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இயற்பியல் அம்சங்களில் காற்று, நீர், நிலம், காலநிலை போன்றவை அடங்கும். மறுபுறம், மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட அம்சங்களில் சாலைகள், நெடுஞ்சாலைகள், விமான நிலையங்கள், இரயில் பாதைகள், கட்டிடங்கள், பாலங்கள், அணைகள் மற்றும் நீர்த்தேக்கங்கள் போன்றவை அடங்கும்.

• சமூக-கலாச்சார அம்சம்

ஒரு சமூகத்தில் வாழ்வதற்கு மனிதர்கள் செய்யும் நடைமுறைகள், கலாச்சாரங்கள் மற்றும் மரபுகள் இவை. விதிகள், சட்டங்கள், மத நம்பிக்கைகள் போன்றவை இதில் அடங்கும். மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் முயற்சியால் இவற்றை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.
